Friday.

I do not like snow much. My definition of the ideal snowfall would be:- two inches of snow on Christmas Morning. Seen through glass. Gone by lunchtime.

Oh how I agree. It is not just the snow, it's the cold and the bitter wind.

Have not been out much for a few days, just across the road for a charity cheese and wine do.

Am terrified of falling, but main problem is my lung capacity is very poor so have to be careful.

However, I like being indoors, have knitting, Christmas correspondence, blogging and domestic stuff to do.

Tonight's forecast showed temperatures of about 4/39 degrees tomorrow so may go out to play.

My ideal snowfall would be to a depth of sixteen and a half feet over the whole country....
of France.....
if that would not be too great a ROD for their back!

Hi P.M., I think the best bet pro tem would be to stay indoors as far as possible and knit warm woollies for your family, who should, in this weather, appreciate them. I'm spending most of my time in my workshop with the wireless on loud (radio four), doing various restoration jobs I've been saving up for just such an eventuality.

Jude says she likes your idea of perfect snowfall - especially as she had an undignified (but fortunately not too disastrous) fall on the slippery slopes of the Mayor's walk by the University.
Big Hugs too.
