Wednesday.

Noticed this  in the car park beyond the   garden this  afternoon. Ann says it's  a sunflower, and (by a process of ellimination) I don't see what else it can be. It's about eighteen inches high, and  I do admire its optimism, however  misplaced.  I wish it well, but I  think we're going  to have a hard frost tonight -we'll see.

Both leaves and flower look like sunflower, don't they - there are dwarf varieties nowadays, but maybe it's just because it's so late.

Lovely to speak to Ann this evening and it's occurred to me - we could come and pick you up when we're going out to lunch, it'd save her getting the car out and wouldn't be any trouble. Looking forward to seeing you both.

Dear Zoe, that's a lovely thought of yours, but it seems a long way for you?????? Let's continue to try and think of a decent midway hostelry to meet at. Somewhere Stowmarket, or Debenham way.
There must be somewhere. If we all think hard about the matter see you soon anyway,
Regards, Mike and Ann.
