Were I to become a small azalea in festive mood, I can conceive of no finer place to bloom than upon a lace doily on a George II side table, flanked by damask curtains and bulbous Georgian candlesticks with a fine bronze goat by Les Animaliers to gaze upon. (He was a fine craftsman was old Les!) But hey! When will I ever find time to become an azalea?
