A mahogany Norfolk, long case clock.
On Tuesday we motored across to Buckinghamshire to install the above grandfather in his new home. stayed over at Sarah and Mikey's, to go to a funeral of an old friend on Wednesday afternoon. 'Old' friend in every sense of the word. He was well into his hundredth year. More in a min.

Hundredth year???
I must admit I wasn't expecting to make 50....52 in December...
I suspect Carol's influence (the wifey) has been invaluable.
Can't see me making 100 but I'm on a bonus already!!!
Yes, I do know what you mean. About five years ago me ticker was playing up quite badly, and Ann's been looking after me very carefully since then - her words- in fact she's been bossing me about unmercifully- BUT- as a result I shan't be too surprised to see seventy as a direct result of her ministrations - oh well, we'll see (or not, as the case may be)Cheers, Mike.
Keep on dodging the skinny bloke with the scythe, Mike. And if he gets persistent tell him you don't know what he's on about 'cos you only lip-read - and he ain't got no lips!
