Bright corner of the kitchen. Spent today pottering in the workshop, and getting ready for the antique fair at Long Melford tomorrow. Just had a superb supper bought and cooked by our friend Liz Alport, who is staying overnight ready for tomorrow's fair. She gave us surloin steak with a mustard sauce, new potatoes and spinach. The steak was cooked to perfection (pink in the middle), the mustard sauce was gilding the lily, but good. Got an early start in the morning, so must close now. Goodnight all.

You are getting good at this still life stuff Mike.
I would have preferred to see a little more light on the bottom left corner to highlight the plums - but I realise these fruit have a dark and mysterious effect when consumed, perhaps you were subtly hinting at this in your composition?
