Friday 7.

This was taken by Ann, still on Ruth's farm, in an area about forty yards from the house. What do you make of it ?

Hi Carl. You'll get nearer if you embiggen it.

Tadpoles!

Well spotted, Maggie. Yes, there's a large pond in Ruth's garden, mainly shallow, swarming with tadpoles. Ann stood on a huge round rock in the edge of the pond and photographed them.
Warm regards to you both, Mike and Ann.

If you use 'tad' as a comparative measure, Mike, you should not then add 'pole' to it which is and empiric measure of five and a half yards as I recall.
Even I could spot a tadpole that was as embiggened as that!(If I was fairly close to it)...
OK, I've looked again and I still haven't spotted 'em yet, even using my white stick!

I've spotted a couple of giant Manta Rays in Ann's photo, they appear to be within the suggested order of magnitude Mike!

Jack Frost(science master)would have given me a months worth of house points for they in a jam jar. Might have saved me from a nether regions wallop from Mr Quail's half cricket bat.T.C.
