Tuesday 14th.

These three photographs are of a bronze spoon. It is almost exactly six inches long and very well made. The end is in    the shape of  a cloven hoof.  It is an attractive item and 'handles' well.

I would welcome opinions on it .

It's lovely Mike; I would like a view of the point where handle joins bowl. But you've got a very convincing bit of cutlering. It has the delicacy and grace of the Queen Anne period but I suspect it may be much earlier (or perhaps even recent?).

From memory it's difficult to tell, style and quality give it every appearance of being Roman, but there is so little wear and tear, it could be a very well made copy. Either way it's a lovely spoon.
