These two characters are (or when completed will become) clock jacks. That is misleading. There is only one of him, and I hope he willl become a clock jack. I'm putting them up mainly for the information of daughter Ruth, who was in at the beginning so knows about him. As you can see Roo, he is progressing nicely. especially the tricorn hat. Lots to be done still, but he is, I think, off to a good start.

Oddly enough, Carl, Ann says he looks very like her younger brother Tim, when younger. Can't really see either of you in him - accidental likeness if so.
The hat looks perfect on him. An excellent start. I popped into Mora church on the way home and saw an old wooden statue in the porch and wondered if he might also have once been a clock jack? I'll send you a picture of him.xxx.
Seen the picture (via Freja) and it looks possible, although he's so worn he might have been a worn bench end. Do you know, I've never seen a Scandinavian clock jack. If you ever learn of one, would you let me know - they must have been used at some stage.
