morning both - have had a good look through the blogs I missed whilst on hols on the Vendee in good old France. Lovely country, good food, great scenery but their national police force are a bunch of complete gits ! Don't ever turn left in France ! Anyway, I like your new hair cut, Pat and Doc haven't changed a bit, in fact I think he looks younger now than he did the last time I saw him about 10 years ago !!! Can't wait for the sloe gin, I still have a little left from 2008 and a full bottle from 2009. I have been doing more preserving too, I have made a couple of batches of marrow and ginger jam... and this recipe sets like proper jam, the stuff Gran used to make was a syrup with cubes of marrow in it, but this looks and tastes a little like marmalade - I will save you a couple of jars and would appreciate your comments. Do you have any spare jam jars, I am in danger of running out ? Still plodding through the latest crossword, will try and complete today as I have a day off looking after my own children ( lordy! ) although Fuff is at work, Guy is off playing golf at Woburn and Amelia doesn't really need looking after, which leaves Lucy - I may need two bottles of the sloe gin by the end of the day ! Cheers Stiggy x
