Thursday.
Drove over to Ipswich this morning in our old car in order to take delivery of our new one (it's another Honda Jazz - our third). Decided on a red one when ordering - we've had two- no three- silvery grey cars in a row, so red makes a change, and anyway they're much easier to spot when parked on a large car park. Took the above photo of new car and Ann in the car park at the back of our bank. Drove down to Essex this afternoon to do some necessary shopping. Delay on the way home because an articulated lorry had jackknifed across the main Halstead to Sudbury road (NOT a very major road) which was blocked completely. In the end we had to divert through the back lanes to get home. New car was doing over fifty miles to the gallon when we got home, so I think we'll be pleased with it.
Good night All.

Nice looking car - glad you're pleased with it. Might have a little job for you, will give you a ring soon and see if you're interested.
Very nice...Daddy would have approved of the colour! x
Ooh, presumably you have the new 12 number plates.
When the question of changing our car comes up our choice seems to be a Honda Jazz, we know others who have been pleased with them. Our son had a Y reg Civic for many years and it served him well.
I am fed up with boring car colours, we have grey (16 year old Corsa) and Silver Picasso, our second silver car. Bright colours for us next time.
Happy motoring, we will admire your car at Z's party.
Coo! Mike, I'd have to buy 7 gallons a year to cover my annual driving in a Jazz.
Think I'll go electric if I ever buy another car.RLisicie pophree
Oooohhh lovely sparkly red car ! Bet it goes faster than the grey ones used to !!! Love stiggy x
Hello Sir B. Yes, give me a ring. We might arrange a 'business breakfast' (as we go-getting young thrusters call them) out at Hollowtrees.
Hello Maggie. Did our revered pro-genitor approve of red cars. I'd forgotten.
Hello P.M. Yes, ref number plates. We love the Honda Jazz. It doesn't drive like a small car, but it's very economical. We'd thoroughly recommend them.
Hello young Stig. Love your comment, and as your father I am, of course, totally responsible for when you were born. But, given your idea that a red car should go much faster than a grey one, I do think that if you'd been around in the twenties you'd have made a perfect flapper.
Love, Pa.
Dunno why 'RLisicie pophree' occurred on my previous comment - as I recall it was the verification couplet. Blogger commentry just isn't as comfortable as once it was. Computer security is even more paranoial than political correctness!
PS
you can't imagine how intriguing a removed comment can be - nor how pitiful or boring they turn out to be when you finally discover what they were about...
Hello Carl. Political correctness, in my opinion, usually means thinking what you are told to think, and as I prefer to do my own thinking, I personally will have nothing to do with it!!!!!!!
P.s. Reference removed comment. I'd started on my reply to young Stig, lost it, so typed it again and published it, then found the first one (only the first line or so) then deleted that. As you said - explanation thoroughly boring - cheers, Big Bruv.
P.P.s. Has anyone noticed regarding the new double verification words, that they can be typed slightly wrong, and will still be accepted?? Is this some sort of double bluff???
Daddy just loved the colour red...I remember one incident when he put on a yellow check waistcoat and mum said he couldn't go out in that and he would have to go and change it(not sure what colour the cravat was at the time). So he did....for a nice red one!
Hello Maggie. Yes, you're right. I thought you meant he liked red cars, and I don't remember him ever having one; although, come to think of it, he'd have thoroughly approved of a red sports car (an M.G. let's say).
Red is meant to be the safest colour and silver (our colour) is so last year:)
Thank you Pat. That is very reassuring (the bit about red). Easily seen, I suppose.
