Photo taken last Christmas. The lady on the bottom right shown surrounded (as she loved to be) by her family, is of Ann's mother, Great Gran Clayton, who passed away very peacefully at just after six o'clock this morning, with her son Timothy by her side. She will be much missed by all who knew her. Requiascat in pace, dear Gran.

You and Ann have my deepest sympathies. Sorry to hear of her Mom's passing. I enjoyed all the photos you have posted of her...quite a woman.
Dear Mike and Ann and all The Clan,
I was sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing; it is humanity’s loss as well as ours ……
yet I find no abiding sorrow in my heart. The privilege of her aquaintance and the memories of her kindnesses leave me instead with a sense of gladness.
As far as I am aware she always had her way, not because she was always right (although she probably was) but because she had a captivating charm and the will, the wit, the skill and the grace to achieve her aims.
She was an elegantly glowing luminary of graciously indomitable womanhood.
I suspect that when her physical frailty finally contravened her independence she summoned up the Grim Reiver with a cheery whistle and charmed him into acceeding to her will. Assuredly she will rest in peace and she will do so deservedly with a cheerfully satisfied smile on her face.
All loving blessings and God’s good comfort to you all.
