Tuesday 4.

And talking of wildlife in its natural surroundings, this is our friend Warren relaxing outside his sauna, which he built at the end of his garden a few years ago.

hello pater - nice to see WW enjoying the sun, he hasn't changed a bit.
re the Bury st Edmunds entry, when you neglect to mention what you had for your 'light lunch' I suddenly become interested and indeed fascinated by what you might have eaten. Please ignore the previous comment about your obsession with food and continue to list your daily rations. I am currently watching ( not literally !! ) what I eat as my BMI is insanely high so it would be good to enjoy someone else's diet while I go through this purgatory and gloat when you over indulge !!! Indeed photographs of each plate would be most helpful !!!Oh and any glasses of wine, beer etc, and perhaps you could list the calorie content of each meal ?!!! am off now to finish my salad - yum!
Forgot to mention have harvested carrots - disaster, all curly and don'y look like carrots at all, still I made way for courgette plants that Frank had lovingly grown from seed and also used slug pellets (courtesy of Frank again ) to protect against slimy foes... should have used DOG pellets as ginger hairy beast has trashed the lot and eaten both plants and all my red onion crop - hey ho, the life of an urban small small holder !!! sleep well x x x

Hi Sarah. Met someone else this morning you'd remember. We got a bit lost in the hospital car parks in Ipswich, so Mummy wound the window down and asked directions from a young lady, which were given. Mummy then said, "aren't you Hellen Atkins?" "Yes", she said, "How lovely to see you". We hadn't seen her since she was in her early teens, and she'd hardly changed, although she's now pushing - well fiftyish, I suppose.
Totally recognisable. We both knew who she was. It was good to see the girl.
