I'm sorry to have to report that once again, and for I hope, a very short time, I'm going to have to publish a blog entry or so without pictures. This problem started when the machine kept telling me that its disk was almost full.
It seems that hidden inside the machine is something like a small gramaphone record which contains all the photographs I've ever taken since I had the machine (about eight years). This has given it indigestion! Under Crowbard's close direction I have purchased, and installed, a further disk which should restore its appetite, and generally increase its capacity. Despite my care and generosity towards the machine it continues to seem reluctant to co-operate with me. However, I shall take further advice on this matter, and hope that normal service will soon be resumed.
At present our house is swathed in scaffolding. Our two tudor chimneys are badly in need of repointing and general repair. This necessitates scaffolding, so that David, a friend of ours, a builder who specialises in early property, can reach the chimneys and effect the necessary repairs. This should take place next week.
In the meantime I shall continue to take photos, in the hope that I can eventually share them.
I wish you all a very Goodnight.
P.s. Before anyone suggests it, I have already treated the machine to the swift and sharp kick in the slats that it has so richly earned. This however, does not seem to have made any great improvement in its behaviour. Apart from a slight tingling in the toes I feel the better for it though.

A post about problems with chimneys and windows.
The gramophone might be better at 78 rpn
Are there other speeds Rog? In fact I do know that the modern records (45 and 33 rpm) are faster, although I believe the C.D. doesn't go round at all! I suppose the needle does though?

Hi Mike,
try downloading your new camera photos to the new Seagate drive and publish them to blog from the Seagate drive using the 'drag & drop' technique as before. Give me a ring sometime and we can rehearse the process together:- meantime you now have sufficient space on your local C: drive to continue as before if you wish..... Errrr!... burble-burble!.. I think!
Maybe you are not winding it up enough?
On the contrary Mag. I think it is winding me up at the moment.
