Crowbard - nor would I, but the obvious answer to your and Sir B's point would be to keep a goat tethered to the chimney on a lead of the correct length.

I wouldn't fancy swinging a scythe up there - but it makes for a picnic spot with a great view!

P.s. Can't see a chimney though, so the goat would have to be tethered in the centre of the roof.
P.P.S. And (knowing goats - we bred them at one stage) I don't mean a lead -goats eat them- I mean a chain.
Sometimes goats and sheep do graze on the roofs, but I don't think they tether them up there.
