Monday 3.

Same lane, showing another couple of thatched cottages, one of them being rather well rethatched. I'd guess the thatcher (and the owner) is thanking The Lord for a fine autumn. We really are very fortunate in Suffolk with regard to pretty villages and fine old buildings. Being called upstairs now to an early supper as Ann is out this evening.

you are very lucky - these houses are just off the front of a box of chocolates, or a jigsaw puzzle !
Give mummy our love - I won't call tonight if she is out, I will try and call tomorrow.

I was a little concerned at you being 'called upstairs' but it was just supper thank goodness.

Hi Stig, yes, a pretty village. Next time you weekend with us, we must try and find it again.

Hi Pat. Should have explained (probably did- in the past) I have a workshop/study/library, in the cellar/undercroft/crypt, and as the kitchen/dining room is on the ground floor, I am literally summoned 'upstairs' for coffee, meals, etc.
Regards, Mike.
