Monday.

Our market place last Friday morning on our way to cafe Church. Half an hour after I took the above photo we returned to the fruit and flower stall and purchased two bunches of the gladioli to the left of the picture to take to sister in law Judy, with whom (and brother Carl) we were to spend the weekend in Leicestershire. Ann did her stint at the Ansell Club (serving lunches to the elderly). We set off in the late afternoon and arrived at Carl and Judy's at about 7.30 p.m.

Above photo, taken at Carl and Judy's, is of their son in law Paul and their granddaughter Charlotte (more usually known as Lottie) studying the sporting pages of Saturday's newspaper.

Lottie graciously acknowledging her fans.

Sunday night's supper - an Italian dish - hang on - will ask Ann. Yes, it's lasagne. Very tasty.

Ann 'phoning her brother David for news of her youngest brother, Tim, who is in hospital having a nopernation on his private insides.
I know I havbe been guilty of many typoes in the previous sentence, but think they are probably productive of better sounding English that the original thunks wuz, so will refrain from making amendments.

Photo taken from the car of a lovely looking little pub in the wilds of Leicestershirt (think I'll leave that one in, too), on our way to Stilton (not the cheese but the village) where we had a pub lunch courtesy (and in the company) of Mel and his wife Penny, Ann's cousin. Got home about four thirty after a very enjoyable and relaxing weekend. More later perhaps (but got a busy forty eight hours ahead, so perhaps not).

If ever I feel nostalgia for the UK I've only to come here and feel much better at once. This is most valuable Armoury service. Thank you.

Nicely put Christopher, not the bigger UK for me but the littler bit that is Suffolk. I suppose East Anmglia generally as I moved around the whole area as a child, with parents in tow obviously, (actually the other way round, they did the towing and I was the towee, but anyway...) attending different schools and settling in different villages etc. A recent challenge for me is to use Google maps/earth and attempt to retrace my footsteps from a previously lived in house, to the school I attended whilst living there - not always as easy as it sounds !!
Pa - will try and call tonight ref crossword - Guys last day of freedom today though (before starting at senior school) so may be a little more distracted than usual !!!Much love

Thank you Christopher.

Thank you Z. Early days yet, but it appears to have done.

Hi Sal. Hope all goes well for Guy. Knowing him, I'm sure he'll settle in well, and Lucy will keep an eye out for him, I should think.
Love to all. It's time we got together, Pa.

Those are charming studies of Lottie and her Dad.
