Saturday 2.

When I came home from scrabble this afternoon the snow was melting fast, and in this terra cotta pot I saw these primula gamely trying to flower still. They were about four inches under the surface of the snow earlier in the day. Reassuring, isn't it?

Pootatu says 'mulgerb'.
I think she is suggesting that you should mulch the potted herbs to protect them from the frost.

PS
They are the finest little town in Norfolk, we should pass the message round to everyone!

Very reassuring! It's -20 Celsius here, that's -4 F. We were glad it warmed up during the day for the Christmas market, it was only -14 C.

Nobody noticed the Diss-related PS?

When I say they are the finest, it is a tribute to Diss, and when we pass the message around it is Diss-tribute-d

Hi Carl. I've been in London for a couple of days (business),but I'm now about to catch up on my comments. Of course I noticed your return challenge of the Diss game, and was still working on it. Trouble was I'd got hung up on Dispersed or dispersal - knew it was not quite right but it was firmly in my skull. Distributed !!!Good one, brother. I'll be putting another one up later today, although I'm afraid we're the only players.

I think if you've ever been mugged in Diss (or anywhere else) you will find you have been dis-pursed
