Friday 1.

This last photo of our visit to the Tower of London shows the chapel inside the White Tower. This was found to be necessary as so many guests in the White Tower eventually required the Last Rites.

So Mike...how was the wedding?

Hi Lori. I'm told that it all went off without a hitch. Didn't watch it on the television, because it's some years since we had one. Our good friend Eileen asked us to go and watch it on hers; Ann accepted her invitation; I declined, with apologies. Eileen, bless her, then asked me to take lunch with she and Ann, after the wedding; then, as an added incentive, offered scrabble after lunch, and I very gratefully accepted. When I stepped round there at 12.30 p.m. (with a potted azalea for Eileen), they both assured me that 'The Wedding' had gone off well, and been simply lovely. Glad to hear it, I'm not anti weddings or anti Monarchy - just not my pigeon.
Two good games of scrabble floowed a lunch of Suffolk ham, jacket potatoes and salad, followed by a raspberry trifle, brie cheese, and excellent coffee.
P.s. Had three further invitations to watch wedding on friends' t.v. sets. Able to decline all of them on plea of prior engagement at Eilleen's.
