Tuesday.

This little bundle of coloured fluff  has been haunting the garden, tamely scrounging for crumbs, for about a week now, and has almost NO  fear of humans at all.  He will come within a couple of feet of Ann or meself, provided he is convinced we are carrying edible offerings for him.

Charming little ruffian, if you could understand his song it would be along the lines of "Git Orf Moi Laand!" ~ They are highly territorial birds.

The World would be a much poorer place without the Robin!

If you're singing "Happy Birthday" to Ann's brother Michael, please ask him to imagine my voice singing along with the best of good wishes for his birthday.

You should see what passes for a robin redbreast here in Canada. They're about the size of thrushes and have all the charm, compared to a "real redbreast" of an old shoe. God bless them but you can't beat the cheeky little buggers that my father would have long chin wags with as he spaded up the garden. I remember once seeing one land on the toe of his shoe and cock it's head up at him as if to say " well, are you going to dig me up a nice worm or am going to have to do it myself ". Miss those little guys, and girls.

I posted some ould bit of nonsense about robins last night but it's nowhere to be seen 24 hours later. Has your screening process been upped to TSA standards or did I not do something I should have ?

Back when this was first posted, I responded noting, quite whimsically I thought, on the difference in size between the Robin Redbreast in England and in Canada. A couple of days passed and I noticed that my comment ( hilarious, you will remember ) had not appeared. So I fired off another one questioning this oversight on your part, and two days later I was aghast to see again that you had neglected to publish or even acknowlege my efforts.Harummmph, says I.So I decided on another tack.Knowing that you had recently attended a shindig at the home of "Z" ( don't ask how I know, just understand that I have eyes and ears all over the globe ) I sent a communication to that good lady to know whether she had heard anything pertaining to your mysterious silence. On her responding that she knew nothing ( never trust a dame ) I finally decided to approach the problem from original direction. And here we are.Any excuses for the aforementioned failure to publish my "pearls" will be taken under advisement.
